What kind of digital camera Is it necessary to get both in the context of the possible?

i have a right mju410 Olympus compact digital camera …… their garbage, basically, if I took a picture of a person in front of a statue that can not obtain all of the statue from behind them and if I'm further back to get the statue in which only the person can see well that what the camera Is it necessary and should i choose one with a fixed focal length or something? i dont want an SLR, because they are too expensive for me and too much for what I need.

Think about what you're asking for … you want to take a photo of a person 5 foot to front foot a statue of fifty feet.
